It seems Joe Launchbury’s performance against Wales may have played him back into the England side.

Launchbury showed the kind of form that made him an automatic selection for England before Kruis and Itoje burst onto the scene, and it may be that Eddie Jones believes his best option is to bring him back into the side.

But Itoje and Kruis have been so effective for England that it’s impossible to leave either one out, and it seems the preferred option may be to move Itoje to Blindside Flanker in place of Robshaw.

At lease that’s how England have been training today, with Itoje getting used to the Blindside role.

Itoje has played in the back row for Saracens and is athletic and intelligent enough to adapt to a role that could let us see even more of his explosive power.

Robshaw may well drop out of the match day squad.  Jack Clifford will certainly be on the bench, assuming Haskell retains his place, leaving Jones the decision of whether to Lawes, Robshaw or even someone else will warm the bench.

It would be hard on Robshaw to lose his place, as he has played well throughout the Six Nations, but he does not produce the man of the match performances that we seem to get from Kruis, Itoje and Launchbury.
