DANNY Cipriani was visited in his hotel room by his secret girlfriend less than a day before his international comeback.

The rugby bad boy, who was in court last week over a nightclub bust-up, risked his career yet again with the clandestine meeting.

He was desperate to keep it under wraps but lover Hope Stubbings, 27, could not help posting pics from the room, including one wearing an England training top and with a “shush” emoji on her face.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: “She was desperate to see him and she thought it was worth taking a chance. It was all cloak and dagger.”

Cipriani, 30 — who has dated Kirsty Gallacher, Kelly Brook and Katie Price — has been seeing mum-of-one and mental health worker Hope on the sly since November.

Their tryst at Clayton Hotel Chiswick came just hours before England’s clash with the Barbarians at Twickenham on May 27.

It was an important final warm-up ahead of England’s tour of South Africa, and marked Cipriani’s international recall after ten years out of favour.

He played for 55 minutes and England lost 63-45.

News of Hope’s visit is likely to anger head coach Eddie Jones. The strict disciplinarian would not have wanted players to have partners in their rooms before the big game.

Jones said when Cipriani was controversially reselected for this summer’s tour of South Africa: “If he’s a bad character, there’s always a plane back from Johannesburg.”

Fly-half Cipriani, who plays for Gloucester, has been keen to keep his relationship secret, begging Hope to keep quiet about it on social media.

A friend said: “They have some sort of discussions about what she’s ‘allowed’ to say and post on social media — and although she wishes he would just be open about it, she understands.”

This week Cipriani faces a hearing in front of a disciplinary panel over his fracas on Jersey, which left a police officer bruised.

The Rugby Football Union has charged him with “conduct prejudicial to the interests of the game”.

He refused to comment yesterday.

Clash over £80 vodka

Exclusive By Michael Hamilton

THE row that saw Danny Cipriani arrested erupted over an £80 bottle of Grey Goose vodka, it emerged yesterday.

Sources said the England rugby star and pals claim they paid for the drink in a nightclub and planned to take it back to their hotel.

But as Cipriani, 30, tried to leave the Drift Club in St Helier, Jersey, he was stopped by bouncer Joaquim Pereira, 63.

A source said: “Danny and his team-mates were in there having table service. He thought the club was closing and has said he grabbed the bottle as it was theirs.

“He was stopped by the bouncer, who tried to take it off him.

“Danny wasn’t scared of him and evaded him and gave it to one of his mates.

The Gloucester fly-half was fined on Thursday after admitting assault and resisting arrest.

JPs ordered him to pay £2,250 in fines and compensation.
